Christopher R. King

President and CEO

Chris is the President and CEO of one of Denver’s premier real estate investment firms, directing the company’s investments, strategic planning and overall operations. He has successfully acquired, developed and overseen projects in excess of $1.5 billion in office, retail and industrial building, with a current portfolio estimated value of $375 million.

Chris has a unique ability to find and create value in under-managed and ill-conceived properties. He has created investment opportunities through both traditional acquisitions and creative financial structures including the purchase of promissory notes, the perfection of lien claims and joint venture scenarios. He also has experience with various Colorado area municipalities, working with urban renewal authorities, metropolitan districts, and complex entitlement processes.

With over 30 years in the commercial real estate business Chris has a vision for long- term value creation and stability. He believes in leadership through collaboration and empowerment, and directs a management team that has been intact for three decades. His leadership has enabled DPC to continuously grow its portfolio and avoid significant hardship during the economic downturn experienced over the last decade.

Prior to DPC, Chris worked for a National Bank handling OREO dispositions and workouts. He also worked for a local Denver developer where he was responsible for project management and leasing of the company’s office, industrial and retail portfolio.

Chris holds a B.A. Degree from Colorado State University with an emphasis on finance and economics. He is actively involved in various civic organizations and has served as a board member and past President of Colorado’s NAIOP Chapter. He is an active board member of Denver Civic Ventures, and an advisory board member of the Everitt Real Estate Center at Colorado State University.
